Daily maintenance of the Electric Scooter

When the electric scooter cycle gets dirty, it is important that you use a soft cloth to wash it to maintain its service life. A poorly handled electric scooter with a lot of dirt and dust at the risk of getting a shorter life. If the dirt does not go away with only a damp soft cloth, a toothbrush with toothpaste can be used for cleaning. If using scratches or the like, sandpaper can be used to handle them. However, it must be done in a cautious manner and may cause the color to be damaged. Make sure the electric scooter is turned off when all maintenance is done.

WARNING: Do not use alcohol, gasoline, or other corrosive chemical solutions to clean the electric scooter. This is because such solutions can cause serious damage to the exterior of the electric scooter, which in turn can damage the electronics therein. Also, do not use high pressure washer to clean the electric scooter as this can damage it. After the electric scooter has been charged, the button that protects the charge socket on the electric scooter must be fully pressed in so that no water or dirt can enter there. Should this happen, there is a risk of electric shock and damage to the operation of the electric scooter.

If the electric scooter is not used, be sure to store it in a dry and cool place and do not leave the electric scooter outdoors for too long. If the electric scooter is left outdoors in extreme heat or cold or in direct sunlight, there is a great risk that both the electric scooter’s exterior and interior will be damaged and its life span greatly reduced. In addition, the capacity of the battery itself can decrease drastically.

Battery maintenance

1) Do not use batteries of other brands;

2) Do not open or disassemble the battery to prevent electric shock. Avoid contact with metal objects to prevent the occurrence of a short circuit. Otherwise, the battery may have malfunction or may injure the user; Do not open or dismantle

the battery to avoid electric shock. Avoid contact with metal to

avoid short circuits. If this is done, the battery may have defects which in turn can harm the user.

3) Use only the supplied charger to charge the electric scooter to avoid fire or other damage.
4) Dispose of the batteries by other means than by recycling

special recycling stations represent an extreme environmental hazard and this must therefore be done in accordance with current regulations on environmentally hazardous waste. Never dispose of a battery with other household garbage or everyday recycling. Help us at Evess to work for a sustainable future by safely recycling the batteries!

5) Charge the battery after each use to increase its service life.

Do not store the scooter battery in rooms with temperatures exceeding 50 ° C-20 ° C (for example, do not leave the battery of Electric Scooter and other

batteries in cars in summer time on the hot sun), do not leave the battery near fire.If a result of these actions may deteriorate the battery, overheating and can even cause inflammation.
If within 30 days the scooter is not used, charge the battery and keep the device in a cool, dry place. Every 60 days you need to charge the battery, otherwise there is the likelihood of its failure, which is not subject to warranty services. .

Never store the battery in temperatures exceeding 50 degrees Celsius or below -20 degrees Celsius (for example, do not leave the batteries in a hot car in the summer when the sun is setting). Also, do not leave the battery near a fire. If this is done, the battery may deteriorate or, in the worst case, start to burn.

When the electric scooter is not used, it should still be recharged every 30 days to keep the battery in trim. Should the battery not be charged for more than 60 days, there is a risk that it will break. If this happens then there is nothing covered by the product warranty as it is in the user’s hands to handle the battery properly.

Avoid fully discharging the battery to extend its service life. The capacity of the battery varies with the conditions in its surroundings and at normal temperatures thus gives the battery longer reach and better performance. If the electric scooter is used in minus degrees, the service life and performance will be reduced.

At -20 degrees Celsius the range of the battery is not even half of what it is at normal temperature so avoid such use. The meter on the display is affected by the temperature and if the temperature rises, the remaining distance will also increase. The remaining distance can be seen in the app Aovoscooter.

NOTE! A fully charged electric scooter has about 120-180 days of capacity to be in standby mode. The battery has a smart chip installed which saves information on its charge and usage. If the electric scooter is left uncharged for too long, this chip will stop working, leading to permanent damage. It is not covered by the warranty as it is up to the user to load the product. The fault that arises from this type of damage is that the electric scooter cannot be charged. WARNING: If this problem occurs, do not self-dismantle the electric scooter cycle as it can cause injury to person or product.

Brake adjustment

If the brake is very tight, use one of the supplied hex wrenches to loosen the brake cable at the disc brake on the rear wheel. Adjust the length of the brake cable to tighten and release the brake, and then tighten the screw to secure it with the Allen key.

Adjustment of the board

To adjust the handlebar, tighten and release the two screws located at the folding mechanism between the body and the handlebar of the electric scooter.
